Brief Description of Duties: The Project Coordinator for the Head Start State Collaboration Project (HSSC), resides in the Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE), Office of Education Excellence, Division of Early Care and Education Administration (ECEA).
Qualifications
The incumbent for this position will have overall responsibility for the coordination, administration, and management of the program objectives to include working with staff on consumer education activities and program linkages; providing guidance and consultation to staff on program practices and Head Start program service delivery methods; managing the development of the performance plan, program collaborations and partnerships; and helping to build early childhood systems and access to comprehensive services and support for all low-income children.
Specialized Experience: Experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, at least one (1) year of specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: This position is responsible for the recruitment and enrollment (completes application process, determines eligibility, etc.) of children for the Head Start program. Carries a caseload of between 54 to a maximum of 72 families. In addition, this position engages in a collaborative partnership with families to establish mutual trust and to identify family goals, strengths as well as necessary services and other supports. This is accomplished through the Family Partnership Agreement process that is also the responsibility of the Family Service Provider. The employee works independently with minimal supervision. Extensive use of good judgment, effective time management and organizational skills are required. REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma. Education, training or experience sufficient to demonstrate the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Experience in case management preferred. BILINGUAL (SPANISH) PREFERRED

The Early Childhood Development Manager provides resources, training and technical assistance to teaching staff in order to ensure the implementation of a developmentally appropriate curriculum in all of the Head Start classrooms. This position supervises the teaching staff including the writing and conducting of performance reviews.
Requirements: Has considerable knowledge of child development and best practices in early childhood education. A Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field is preferred.

Head Start Bus Driver
Skyline Community Action Program is seeking a Bus Driver for Head Start in Greene County. Must have a CDL with school bus endorsement and a safe driving record. The BUS DRIVER will work with a BUS AIDE to transport the children to and from school safely. This is a part time position, working approximately 20 hours per week at an hourly rate of $10.40 for 38 weeks each year. Drivers are able to enjoy the summer months off while Head Start is not in session. This position enjoys ten paid holidays per year and accrues sick leave benefits. EOE. CENTER AIDE
9 ½ months per year position; full-time 40 hours per week.
Responsible for assisting staff with supervision and guidance of children in the classroom; picking up, serving lunch and cleaning up after meals; daily transportation runs and other housekeeping duties within the center. Must be willing to obtain CDL drivers license.
